Looking at this picture, it is telling that something is wrong with the picture on the right. These are human lungs. The pair on the left are healthy and the pair on the right have been indulging in cigarette smoke for years.
It is evident that anatomical and pathological changes takes place when one puts strain upon the lungs.
We should remember that the heart and the lungs are connected. If there is undue strain on the lungs it will inevitably start affecting the heart. In this picture, the heart appears larger and less pink.
Consequences of cigarette smoke can be:
all of the above leading to chronic lung infections and lung destruction
poor quality of life due to shortness of breath
enlarged heart and heart failure
We should be mindful that we are in charge of what we introduce into our bodies. We only have one life and I for one would like to love mine to the fullest.
